Glad you've come! Although the Event is officially over...you can access ALL of the Event wisdom as mp3 recordings here. And when you register, (over there-to the right) you'll get first notice for upcoming events including Rites of Passage for HIM, coming in early 2012.
You have to know about:
- His Education: Schools generally disapprove of the reading choices and writing topics that boys prefer. These skills are crucial to college success yet he already hates reading and resists writing, sometimes as early as 3rd grade.
- His Inner World: Knowing how he learns, how you can motivate him, how you can help him connect to his own inner wisdom means you'll stay connected and be able to weather the rocky times ahead.
- His Wider World: While the world keeps getting more and more verbal, and placing high value on communication and relationship skills, your boy hasn't changed. Understand the pressures that your boy faces everyday as he grows to be a man.
And that trail begins with YOU: parents and teachers who wonder, and worry, about boys.
You may feel like you are in a coal mine with your boy - it's dark and murky in there and hard to see your way out. Maybe you're having a bad day with your son...or a series of bad days...or you've just never quite been able to get things right with him.
It's frustrating, maddening, and downright scary sometimes, when you think about where his trail could lead...
With experts guiding you and giving you the tools to follow that path...he'll be out of the coal mine and into the gold mine!
Meet some of your Guides:
Register today: You'll have free access to these trail blazing guides: authors, coaches, doctors, and parent educators sharing their experience, knowledge, and practical solutions with you!
"Here be dragons"... Old maps warned travelers about unexplored territories with the simple (yet ominous) warning: "Here be dragons." Well, we may no longer have dragons but consider the warnings sounded...is anyone listening?
- For every 100 girls in special education there are 217 boys.
- For every 100 girls who earn a Bachelor's degree there are 73 boys.
- For every 100 girls age 15-17 in jail there are 837 boys.
Of course, NO ONE thinks THEIR son is going to drop out of high school or end up in prison...but the numbers shout a warning: BEWARE Parents...Boys are losing their way. They are at risk of failing...in school and in life.
Be his guide! Help him find his treasure!
Make sure you have the tools to help him avoid the dragons and live his life with a sense of purpose, service, and confidence.
Get ready to unroll the map - roll up your sleeves - and take action!
